ABOUT SCOTT CUSTIS

I entered the financial industry in April 2014, commencing my career at Fidelity Investments. During my time there, I diligently studied and successfully obtained essential industry licenses, including the series 7 and series 66. However, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) certification is the most esteemed among them. Demonstrating my commitment, I dedicated over a year of intensive study to pass the rigorous 6-hour CFP exam. Working at Fidelity allowed me to gain valuable insights into the industry's inner workings and provided me with the opportunity to advise high-net-worth individuals on their 401(k) plans. Over the course of my five-year tenure, I honed my ability to uncover client needs and gather pertinent data to formulate comprehensive financial plans.

Seeking new challenges and opportunities, I joined UBS, where I was presented with a unique role advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families. During my three-year tenure at UBS, I had the privilege of supporting some of the industry's top advisors. My primary focus was providing specialized advice on executive equity compensation (NSOs and RSUs) to P&G executives. Overseeing a portfolio of 85 affluent households totaling approximately $550 million in assets, I became intimately familiar with every aspect of their financial plans, including cash flow management, tax strategies, estate planning, investment allocation, and gifting strategies. This experience equipped me with the necessary expertise to guide families in managing and preserving their wealth across generations.

Motivated to offer personalized and comprehensive financial guidance, I took the leap. I established my practice in 2022, founding Money Scientific. Entrepreneurship runs in my family, with my father specializing in agriculture sustainability and my mother providing expertise in personal income tax. Growing up, I was instilled with the core values of living within our means, giving, saving, and spending wisely. These principles provided us with additional resources to invest, but we sought professional advice on how to proceed. My mission is to educate individuals on the intricacies of building and preserving generational wealth.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I cherish spending quality time with my wife and three children. During the fall season, I passionately cheer on the Ohio State Buckeyes each Saturday. My wife and I also actively participate in our local church in Northern Kentucky, where we contribute to the community. As a member of the NKY Chamber of Commerce, I remain committed to fostering strong business connections and promoting economic growth in the region.
